About Me
I believe everyone has a story to tell, but we must first know our story fully and honestly. Whether you're struggling to understand yourself due to trauma, life stressors, or transitions, I am here to help you learn to know your true self and not allow past trauma or hurt to define your story today.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and in 2012, I earned my LPC-Supervisor credential. I am also a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and a National Board Certified Counselor. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients of all ages process and work through their trauma.

I also know that God has created you uniquely, so I tailor my counseling to each client’s needs. While my faith informs my counseling, I have worked with people of different or no faith in the counseling room. I typically lean on an attachment-based approach to counseling, understanding that our early years and formative relationships shape who we are and how we tell our story. I have over 15 years of experience working with children, teens, and adults to heal from their hurt and trauma and fully embrace their story.

For the last 10 of those years, I served as a Clinical Director, specifically supporting professionals across the state. If you are a professional or minister looking for help with burnout or vicarious trauma processing, I have extensive experience helping individuals process their stories and trauma so they can better help others.

As for my background, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a focus on adolescent development, from Auburn University. I received my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Additionally, I have completed graduate studies in Counselor Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

I look forward to working with you and cannot wait to see the story you learn to tell about yourself.
